1. Carefully read the BITSAT-2008 brochure. You can either download a copy of the brochure (pdf format) or read it online.
2. Read and understand all the instructions before proceeding to fill the online form. You are strongly advised to take a print out of these instructions so that you can refer to the same while filling the form.
3. Once you confirm the data entered, you will not be allowed to change the same. Therefore, be careful before confirming.
4. After completing the form online, you will be asked to take print outs of the filled form. You should take two copies of the printout. Complete the form, sign, attach the application fee payment details and send one copy of the same by registered post /Speedpost to 'The Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan - 333 031 (India)' so as to reach him before 5.00 PM on 31st January 2008. You should keep the second copy with you for your reference.
5. Before printing out the filled form, the system will generate a unique application number for you. Note down this number without fail which will be required for all future references.
6. If you do not have a printer attached to the computer, you can go to the printout page later again by entering the personal details and the application number.
7. If you have a scanned passport size photograph, you can upload the photograph while applying online. Otherwise, you have to paste the photograph on the printed form.
8. While applying online, do not use the 'Back' button on the tool bar of your browser. Use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. Further, when you have completed applying, close all the open browser windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
9. Your online registration for BITSAT-2008 is complete only when the completed form is received in the admissions office before the above deadline. After posting the application, please check the status of your application at http://www.bitsadmission.com/BITSAT/ and follow the instructions.

Note: The application fee for BITSAT-2008 is Rs. 800/- (For female candidates, it is Rs. 400/- only). The fee payment can be made at selected State Bank of India (SBI) branches or can be made through the demand drafts. Click here to find more details about payment of application fees. Those who apply from abroad may attach a Demand Draft for US $25 instead of Indian Rupees.
