EATS TO

THE CANDIDATES UNDER

JEXPO-2007

FOR THE SESSION

2007-08

It is expected that some vacancies in the

General Category

would be created after completion of

counseling of JEXPO-2007 merit listed candidates from rank G-5001 to G-6000, which is scheduled to

be held on 14

th & 16th

August, 2007. Apart from this, there are still some vacant seats in the

SC/ST Category

. To fill-up the aforesaid vacant seats, counseling will be held as per following schedule

at “Kolkata Karigori Bhavan”, Ground Floor, 110 S.N.Banerjee Road, Kolkata-700013.

The counseling

will be continued till availability of seats and the counseling will be stopped when the seats are

filled-up

.

1. Candidates called for counseling must report at the venue of counseling on the designated date

and time as notified by the Council. Failure to report at the scheduled date and time will make the

candidate ineligible for counseling.

2. Admission Forms will be available at counseling venue on all working days, which will be

supplied to the merit listed candidates called for counseling on payment of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten)

in cash. The duly filled-in Admission Form is required to be submitted at the time of counseling.

Do not attach any photocopy of certificates with the Admission Form.

Candidates, who have

already obtained Admission Form, need not collect the same.

3. If selected for admission, the candidate will have to pay Registration Fee of Rs.150/- (Rupees one

hundred fifty) only in cash at the time of counseling.

4. A Medical Certificate in the following format is to be obtained in the Admission Form. The

Admission Form is required to be submitted during counseling. No separate Medical Certificate

will be entertained.

(From a Registered Medical Practitioner)

I do hereby certify that I have examined Sri/Smt. _________________________________ who

has applied for admission to the State / Notified Polytechnic in West Bengal and found that he/she

is of sound health and is free from any physical constitutional or organic defects or colour

blindness which may endanger his/her health in doing work at workshop, laboratories and classes

and I consider that he/she is medically fit for the admission to any Polytechnics in west Bengal.

5. Candidates must bring the following documents in original for verification at the time of issuance

of admission documents:

i) One copy of recent passport size photograph, duly attested & pasted on the Admission Form

ii) Admit Card of Madhyamik / equivalent examination as age proof

iii) Mark sheet of Madhyamik / equivalent examination

iv) JEXPO Admit Card

v) Certificate from competent authority in respect of SC/ST category candidates, as applicable

vi) Duly filled-in Admission Form of Rs.10/-

vii) Rs.150/- in cash towards Registration Fee

viii) Medical Certificate

6. Candidate will have to take admission within 7 (seven) days from the date of allotment of his/her

seat to the respective polytechnic by paying required fees. Failure to take admission within the

stipulated time will make the candidate ineligible for the offered seat.
