Karnataka CET Common Entrance Test

Common Entrance Test or CET Karnataka is conducted for the purpose of admitting students to first year Courses in Engineering, Medical, Dental Courses in Karnataka. Kerala CEE MHCET TNPCEE comedk comedk comedk NRI

Professional colleges in Karnataka State which offers Medical, Dental and Engineering Education are affiliated to the state run Universities, admit students through Karnataka CET every year.

There are three kinds of seats (Free seats, payment and management quota seats) available in the various colleges. The fee structure differs every year.

Only Karnataka students are allowed for CET for the academic year rest can opt for COMEDK exam this test conducted parallel to CET-Karnataka by the private Medical, Dental and Engineering College Association

Common Entrance Test (CET) is the test conducted by the state Govt. to admit students to medical, dental and engineering courses in Karnataka.

Who can Apply?

A candidate who has passed the second year Pre-University or 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology group is eligible for Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses (40% in case of SC/ST/ Category-1 candidates.) ; provided that for Dental course, the candidate must also have secured 50% of marks in the English language. (40% in case of SC/ST/Category-1 candidates.) Further, the candidates seeking admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, should have completed the age of seventeen years as on 31st December of 2007
