Jaipur: Clarifying the controversy over conducting of engineering exams for the students who are enrolled in the Rajasthan University, Vice Chancellor N.K. Jain assured today that exams for enrolled students would be conducted by the Rajasthan University.
The issue of conducting engineering exams for the students who were enrolled in the Rajasthan University was caught in controversy again as a local newspaper published a senior administration official as saying, "We don't have any staff and infrastructure now. How are we supposed to conduct exams? We will provide affiliation fees to the RTU. RTU should conduct engineering exams for engineering students as it is doing for the medical students now."
When the Rajasthan Technical University was set up two years before, the Rajasthan government has issued clear instructions that RTU would conduct the examination only for the students who will be admitted from the new academic year. Responsibility to conduct exams for the students who were already enrolled would lie with the Rajasthan University.
