NOTIFICATION

ALLOTMENT TO PROFESSIONAL DEGREE COURSES – 2007

In view of the Orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, the revised activities related to the allotment to various Professional Degree Courses for the year 2007-08 will commence on 16.08.2007 as per

G.O (Ms) No.109 /2007/H.Edn.,Dated, 10-08-2007.

The options registered by the candidates from 10.07.2007 to 25.07.2007 will not be considered since the allotment activities held during this period has been cancelled.

Candidates can register their options afresh in the Website "cee-Kerala.gov.in" from 10am on 16.08.2007 to 9 am on 30.08.2007.Candidates who do not register their options afresh will not be considered for allotment under any circumstances. The Information, guidance and option facilitation centres [IGOFC] and Help desks [HD] having internet facility will be functioning thorough out the state during this period for registration of options by the candidates. The details of these centers will be available in the website at ‘cee-kerala.org’.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be making allotment to the various Professional courses in the following Colleges:

  • 1. Government and Government-Aided Colleges
  • 2. Private Self-financing Colleges that have entered into agreement with Government (39 Engineering, *3 Medical, 11 Dental, 7 Ayurveda, 1 Sidha and 4 Nursing Colleges)
  • 3. Self financing Engineering Colleges under Government control (IHRD, LBS, CAPE &CCE)
  • 4. Co-operative Medical College, Kochi (CAPE)
  • 5. Self-financing Engineering colleges under Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi and Calicut Universities.
  • (*Options will not be invited against the Self financing Medical Colleges which have not received the necessary sanction from the Government of India. Such institutions may be included during the second round of allotment subject to approval from Government of India)

      1. 6. The existing reservation policy and fee structure in Government and Government-Aided Colleges will be continued. The seat reservation policy and fee structure applicable to other self financing institutions will be as follows:

    Note: (1) In case of Private Self-financing institutions recognised as ‘Minority Institutions’ and institutions under Muslim Educational Society, 10% of the total seats is earmarked for allotment from among the candidates belonging to the Minority Community which runs the college, on the basis of merit. Allotment will be made after getting Community Certificates from eligible candidates. In such institutions, the remaining 40% of the seats will be allotted by the Government as per the pattern of distribution applicable in Govt./Govt.-Aided Colleges.

    (2) In the case of Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Government control and in Self-financing Engineering colleges under Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi Universities, 35% of the seats under management quota also will be allotted by the CEE. The CEE will allot only 25% of the seats under management quota, in the case of SCT College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram.

    **The candidates getting allotment are liable to execute a bond agreeing to remit higher fee, if any, to be fixed on the basis of orders of the Hon’ble High Court or any competent authority. The Managements shall also execute a Bond in favour of the students to the effect that they will refund excess fee, if any, collected from them, on the basis of the orders of the Hon’ble High Court or any competent authority.
