Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (CRCE) was established in 1984 as part of Fr. Agnel Technical Complex at Bandra, Mumbai by the Society of St. Xavier Pilar and is named after its founder late Rev. Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues.
The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai.
The college has acquired a good reputation for its academic standards.

From the year 1997, the DTE of Maharashtra has instituted a scheme of grading all the engineering colleges in Maharashtra states. This grading is based on the academic standards, faculty and infra-structural facilities for the institution. Our college has been graded consistently as 'A' from the inception.
The impressive public image of the college is reflected in the preference shown by the students seeking admission during the centralized admission process conducted by DTE.

From Bandra Station:
Reach the WEST side of the Station, which is located on the corner of (B.J. Road). BEST buses are avaliable from just outside the station, here. Bus No. 211 ( route name) goes to Fr. Agnel ashram. which is the last stop on the route.Buses take about 20 mins to get to Fr. Agnel Ashram from the Station, due to heavy traffic on the route.
Auto rickshaws take about the same time getting to the Ashram. Please do confirm the fare with the Tariff cards available (mandatory) with the drivers. Auto rickshaws are only permitted to allow 3 passengers at the maximum and do not charge extra for luggage.

From Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport:
Pre Paid taxis are available from the airport which take about 40 mins to the Ashram. You are not expected ot pay any extra charge for luggage.
Please Note: There are seperate night time charges for taxis and Rickshaws, from midnight to 6 am.

By Local Train:
If you alight at Chatrapati Shivagi Rail Terminus(CST) ( perviously know as Victoria Terminus) you can catch a HARBOUR line local from the Local Platforms at CST and alight at Bandra station.
If you have alighted at Bombay Central station on the Western line, you have to catch a local from the local platform and alight again at Bandra station.

Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) is a private, un-aided engineering college situated at Kurla (West), Mumbai. It has been granted a "Religious Minority" (Roman Catholics).


History

The engineering college was established in 2001 by The Bombay Salesian Society. Initially, engineering degree courses were offered in Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunications. In the year 2006, Mechanical Engineering branch was added. The college is directly affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

In 2005, the college was ranked 84 in the list of Top technical colleges in India in a Dataquest-IDC-NASSCOM Survey.

Location

DBIT is located at Don Bosco, Kurla campus in front of the Premier Automobiles Factory (Fiat Company). The nearest railway station is Vidyavihar.

There is a direct bus service from Santa Cruz to Vidyavihar (322). The nearest bus junction is Kamani, which is networked through the BEST buses to Andheri, Kurla, Ghatkopar,Mulund and other places.

Campus

There is a huge football ground, basketball court and a tennis court. Both the courts are concretised. There are provisions for indoor games like carrom and table tennis. The campus has lush greenery throughout the year. Even the insides of the buildings are spruced up by placing potted plants. Recent changes have been to the landscape, by addition of a lawn at the upper echelons which double up as a playground and reception venue.

The classrooms are roomy and well ventilated. There is ample natural light pouring in courtesy of the large windows. The labs are modern and well equipped. Elements of contemporary design can be seen everywhere. There is a chapel on the ground floor.

In the year 2006, the new wing of the engineering department was inaugrated. This new building now seats the EXTC and Mechanical Engineering students. The topmost floor houses the Rev.Fr.Santino Mondini Auditorium, which was inaugrated by Fr.Santino Mondini, 94 on the felicitation ceremony of Rector Major Fr.Pascal Chavez, on his visit to India, on February 8th 2007.

Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) is an educational institution in Navi Mumbai under the umbrella of Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Santhas, Airoli. It was established in 1988.

This department is the latest one in the college.Yet, it is the most developing and organized of all other branches. It is equipped with two labs and each comprising of many sub-sections. Each lab has good amount of systems to work on. IT labs provide free internet service to the students of the college.

  • Chemical Engineering

Bharati Vidyapeeth's Chemical Engineering department is rated as one of the top three in Mumbai University along with UICT and D.J.Sanghvi. The laboratories are well equipped for heat and mass transfer operations, fluid mechanics studies and chemical reaction engineering. Faculties are very well experienced and highly qualified. The alumni of BVCOE chemical is outstanding with 70% of the students pursuing higher education in good universities overseas and 30% of the students working in reputed organisations. The percentage of first class passing from BVCOE Chemical Engineering is good. It has come a long way after the department lost its AICTE recognition in year 1996.

  • Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering

The department comprises four well-equipped laboratories containing latest equipment and training kits in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication in order to conduct practical experiments as stipulated by the University syllabus.

Location

Though the college is in CBD Belapur, it is closer to Kharghar station on Harbour Railway line. BVCoE is located in a very beautiful place surrounding hills and Panvel creek. The college is on Sion-Panvel Highway, and a couple of kilometers away from Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
