Sale and Receipt of Application Form.

Fees for information Brochure and application form is Rs. 600/- for open category candidates and Rs. 400/- for backward class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State (i.e. Candidates having relevant Backward Class Caste Certificate stating that the caste is recognized in the State of Maharashtra and also Non-creamy Layer Certificate (for SBC, NT-A (VJ/DT), NT-B, NT-C and OBC Candidates) issued by Maharashtra State authorities. Fees should be paid by Cash/ Demand Draft / Pay Order of any Nationalized/ Scheduled/ Private sector Commercial bank drawn in favour of ‘Director, College of Engineering, Pune’ payable at Pune. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Depending on the claim of a category, different sets of documents ( Caste certificate, Caste validity certificate and Non-Creamy Layer certificate) are necessary at the time of submission of application form itself without which candidates shall not get the category benefit and will be treated as general category candidates.

Candidate should carry all the original documents for scrutiny at ARCs. If requisite attested photocopies are not attached to application form the candidate may lose the claim of the respective type of candidature. The incomplete or incorrect filled up application forms may be rejected at any stage of CAPCAI and in such cases the candidate will be responsible for the rejection of the application form. Application form submitted should be confirmed by the candidate in person at any ARC, by obtaining duly signed receipt.

Application forms received after last date and by Post/courier, Email/Fax will not be considered and no communication will be entertained in this regard.

Admitted candidates under this admission process are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) to be conducted for other Engineering colleges by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai for the academic year 2008-09.

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune a highly commendable private institute, occupies a place of pride amongst the premier technical institutes of the western region of India. Established in year 1983, financed and run by the Bansilal Ramanath Agrawal Charitable Trust,Pune. It is affiliated to Pune University. Within two decades, the institute marched towards the pinnacle of glory through its remarkable achievements and laurels in the field of engineering education of a high calibre.

According to Indian mythology, 'Vishwakarma' was a divine architect-engineer. It is believed that He fashioned this world with His rare engineering skill. The Trust adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers of high caliber, who could take up challenges of any type of an engineering job and make it a grand success, guided by originality and professionalism.
The campus boasts of lush green lawns that provide an ambience and a serene atmosphere of ancient Gurukuls far from the madding crowd. It has got 17.625 acres of land, out of which 7 acres as academic building area and 10 acres for playground, hostels and staff quarters. Available built up area for the entire institution is 32,045 sq. mts.
It has at present about 2800 students, 225 faculty members, 67 well equipped laboratories having instruments worth Rs. 9.6 crores and 150 administrative and supportive staff. It has a very strong alumni of students spread all over the world.

The institute offers Undergraduate,Postgraduate and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in Engineering.. It has six full-fledged departments having nine branches with faculty who are motivated with a quest to promote engineering and technical education. The faculty members are constantly training themselves by participating in and presenting papers at various national programs in their field of specialisation.
