BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY Admission notice for MD MS 2009

An entrance test on all India basis will be held on 22nd February 2009 at VARANASI for admission to MD/MS courses for year 2009. The subjects and category wise distribution of seats will be notified later on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in).

Eligibility:
MBBS (MCI recognized) with one year rotating internship completed by 30-4-2009. Those who have passed MD/MS (Post Graduates) are not eligible.

Application form can be either downloaded from BHU website free of cost (www.bhu.ac.in) or can be obtained from the Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U. Varanasi-221005 from 12.12.2008 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope (24 X 30 cm) and a DD of Rs 100.00 in favor of “Director, IMS, BHU” payable at Varanasi (by post till 31.12.2008 and in person till 10.01.2009).

Envelope for the form-request should be marked as MD/MS FORM-REQUEST. Duly completed application form (all the four pages) including 3 photographs and the application fee must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 10.01.2009.

IIFT invites application for admission to Certificate Course in International BusinessLanguage (Evening) in the following two languages

1. Spanish 2. French

The course is designed for young entrepreneurs and executives in government, public and
private sector trading with markets speaking these languages.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Certificate course in International Business Languages (Spanish, French)Eligibility: Minimum educational qualification should be 10 + 2. No age limit

Selection: Based on interviews to be held at IIFT’s Campus.

Fee: Rs.7,500/- per person.

Dates and Timings of the Course: The Course in each language will be held during
January – June 2009 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm on alternate days (Mondays, Wednesdays
& Fridays) thrice a week. Classes will be held at IIFT Campus in Delhi.

Last Date for receipt of Applications: 10th January 2009

Application Form can be obtained from the Institute on all working days between 10:00
am - 4:30 pm on payment of Rs. 250/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) or download
application form from www.iift.edu (or by clicking the link here) and accompanied by a Demand Draft/Pay Order for
Rs. 250/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign
Trade payable at New Delhi at the time of submission.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will hold All India Written Entrance Test for admission to MBBS course in TWO stages: PMT/PAT-2009 SCREENING and PMT-2009 MAIN

BHU PMT/PAT-2009 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 6th May 2009 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to take PMT-2009 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 14th June 2009 at Varanasi Centre only. For B. Pharm. course, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT/PAT-2008 SCREENING.

The all India Screening Test, BHU PMT-2009 for admission to MBBS / BDS / BAMS / B. Pharm. / B. Pharm.(Ay.) Course will be held on Wednesday, the 6th May 2009 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres. The selection of the candidates for all the above stated courses other than that of MBBS would be done exclusively on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2009 Screening Test. The PMT-2009 Main for MBBS course would however be held on Sunday, the 14th June 2009 for those who are short listed under PMT-2009 Screening Test at Varanasi Centre only.

ELIGIBILITY : QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS: M.B.B.S.: General - 40; SC - 9; ST - 4; Physically disabled (PD) - 2; B.Pharm.: As per Government of India Reservation Policy.

AGE: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2008 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1992 and on or before 31st December, 1983 need not apply).

BY POSTAL CHANNEL : From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1060/- (Rs. 660/- for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of "The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU" payable at Varanasi. Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate's name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT/PAT application form should be super scribed "Request for Application for PMT/PAT-2008, BHU". Last date of requisition for PMT/PAT form by post is Wednesday, the 20th February 2008. Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted.

NOTE:
(a) Separate Bank Draft will be required for each application form.
(b) M.O./I.P.O./Cheques shall NOT be accepted under any circumstances. Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person. In case forms are not available at Bank of Baroda Branches, the same can be obtained by post from Director's Office upto 20th February, 2008.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM : Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by SATURDAY, the 8th March 2008 till 5.00 PM. Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted. Foreign Nationals are not required to appear in the PMT examination for MBBS course. They may seek admission through the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as per the rules laid down for the purpose and their nomination must reach by Wednesday, the 16th July 2008.
