The Paper Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 07 February 2010 at one time slot i.e., 1000 to 1230 Hrs, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 13 February 2010 onwards in three time slots per day.

If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test at any city is limited, these candidates will be permitted to appear for the Paper Based Test on 07 February 2010.

No candidate is permitted to take more than one test during February 2010, though the test is administered over a few days.

Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year degree course students can also apply.

2. HOW TO APPLY

To obtain MAT Bulletin and Application Form by post, send a Demand Draft of Rs. 790/- to AIMA-CMS, drawn in favour of AIMA-CMS payable at New Delhi alongwith two self-addressed slips/adhesive stickers. Send your request to The Manager - CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 003.

OR

Obtain MAT Bulletin and Application Form on cash payment of Rs 750/- at AIMA counter at Delhi (Tel:- 24653382), select Bank of Baroda Branches (BoB), AIMA Study Centres and other sale outlets.

BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY MASTER OF EDUCATION M. Ed. (PART TIME) PROGRAMME


MASTER OF EDUCATION M. Ed. (PART TIME) PROGRAMME
Master of Education M. Ed. (Part time) course consisting of two Semesters, is an in-service professional program open to (in-service) teachers and educational functionaries. The admission will be made on the basis of merit. The merit list will be prepared on the lines of Academic Index prescribed for research students of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

DURATION OF WORKING DAYS:
The M. Ed. (Part-time) two semester will be of two years duration, each year being of 90 working days. The classes will be conducted during summer vacation and holidays.

CLIENTELE:

Teachers, educational administrators and other functionaries connected with office administration, research, curriculum material development, policy making, teacher education. etc., with at least two years of service experience along with the following educational qualifications are eligible for admission:

  2. B. Ed. /B. Ed. (Special) securing a minimum of 50% marks in theory.

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (63 seats) in TWO stages:
  1. PMT-2009 SCREENING
  2. PMT-2009 MAIN,
and to BDS (28 seats)/BAMS (57 seats) / B. Pharm. (28 seats) and B.Pharm.(Ay.) (Paid seats - 30) courses in ONE stage:
  1. PMT-2009 Screening.
  2. PMT-2009 SCREENING
shall be held on Wednesday, the 6th May 2009 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to take PMT-2009 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 14th June 2009 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm./B.Pharm(Ay.) courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2009 SCREENING.

ELIGIBILITY :
QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together;
  1. For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm.(Ay.) – A minimum of 50% for general and 40% aggregate marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates;
  2. (ii) For B.Pharm. – A minimum of 60% marks for general & OBC and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

General - 42; OBC – 7; SC – 9 and ST – 5; BDS and B.Pharm. (28 seats each): General – 19; OBC – 3; SC – 4 and ST – 2;

BAMS (57 seats) :
General – 36; Foreign National – 3; OBC – 6; SC – 8 and ST – 4; B.Pharm.(Ay.) (Paid seats, 30): General – 15; OBC – 8; SC – 5 and ST – 2.

Three percent seats are reserved for Physically challenged candidates in all the categories of the above courses.

AGE:

Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2009 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1993 and on or before 31st December, 1984 need not apply).

BY POSTAL CHANNEL :

From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi.
Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD).
Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm × 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed “Request for Application for PMT-2009, BHU”. Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Wednesday, the 18th February 2009.
Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted.

NOTE:
  • Separate Bank Draft will be required for each application form.
  • M.O./I.P.O./Cheques shall NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
  • Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person.
  • In case forms are not available at Indian Post Offices, the same can be obtained by post from Director’s Office upto 18th February, 2009.
LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM :
Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by MONDAY, the 9th March 2009 till 5.00 PM. Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted. Foreign Nationals are not required to appear in the PMT examination for MBBS/BAMS course. They may seek admission through the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as per the rules laid down for the purpose and their nomination must reach by Thursday, the 16th July 2009.

BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY Admission notice for MD MS 2009

An entrance test on all India basis will be held on 22nd February 2009 at VARANASI for admission to MD/MS courses for year 2009. The subjects and category wise distribution of seats will be notified later on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in).

Eligibility:
MBBS (MCI recognized) with one year rotating internship completed by 30-4-2009. Those who have passed MD/MS (Post Graduates) are not eligible.

Application form can be either downloaded from BHU website free of cost (www.bhu.ac.in) or can be obtained from the Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U. Varanasi-221005 from 12.12.2008 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope (24 X 30 cm) and a DD of Rs 100.00 in favor of “Director, IMS, BHU” payable at Varanasi (by post till 31.12.2008 and in person till 10.01.2009).

Envelope for the form-request should be marked as MD/MS FORM-REQUEST. Duly completed application form (all the four pages) including 3 photographs and the application fee must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 10.01.2009.
