JMET 2009 Notification - Joint Management Entrance Test 2009 Dates,MBA in IITs India
Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test 2007 (JMET 2007) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Programmes in Management offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET 2007 to short list candidates for the subsequent part of the selection process(es). Applicants should note that they have to apply for and send separate application forms to IISc and different IITs as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to Participating Institutes for brief profiles of schools/departments of management of IISc and participating IITs. An applicant can apply to as many programmes as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements.
Application/Registration Process
There are two different processes by which a candidate can apply/register for JMET 2007, namely, OFFLINE(by Post) and ONLINE(Internet based). Details of these processes are given under How-to-Apply. The registration-cum-application fee for offline applications is Rs.800/- for General candidates and Rs.400/- for SC/ST candidates. The fee for online application is Rs. 750/- for General candidates and Rs. 350/- for SC/ST candidates. The registration-cum-application fee is not refundable and the application form is not transferable.

Candidates can appear in the examination only against valid admit cards. Candidates generally receive Admit Cards by last week of November 2006. If they do not receive it by December 1, 2006, they should contact GATE Office IIT Roorkee (quoting the Application Number and Test City).
Although JMET 2007 is held at different cities all over India, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is the Organizing Institute, and has overall responsibility of conducting JMET 2007. In case of any claims or disputes arising in respect of JMET 2007 it is hereby made absolutely clear that the Courts and Tribunals in Haridwar and Haridwar alone shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to entertain and settle any such disputes or claims.
